Christmas and Eid-e-Milaad-un-Nabi - some celebrations don't need any basis to it

A rare case when Christians are celebrating Christmas [25th December claimed to be the birthday of prophet Jesus (PBUH)] and Muslims are celebrating Eid-e-Milaad-un-Nabi [12th Rabi-al-Awwal claimed to be the birthday of prophet Muhammad (PBUH)] on the same day - Gregorian calendar meets Lunar calendar. Turns out, none of these celebrations have any real basis in the history of their respective religions - sorry to hurt you if I have done so by saying this.

Blind faith? Or educated disbelief?

 I have seen people who say to live happily and peacefully we need a college degree from a good reputed university that can publish this many researches and this many books. They say having a college degree from such an intellectually sound institution will give you peace because, then, you will be able to take EDUCATED decisions.... you don't need theistic beliefs to achieve peace.... you don't need to blindly follow the rules stated by God (someone whom you have never even seen).

Do they realize that the intellect of even the ENTIRE human race (living or dead) would not be a match against Allah's wisdom? I am not saying this blindly to say that Allah is more knowledgeable than anyone or anything. I am saying this because there are FACTS to backup my belief.

There are SEVERAL extra-ordinary things which are being discovered today. But they were already declared hundreds of years ago......... by who? By someone who researched and wrote and published an intellectually curated book? Or by someone who ACTUALLY knows about EVERYTHING till the end of the world? There were no microscopes back then. There were no microchips back then. And today, we can't do a single research without any of this.

EVEN AFTER that kind of far fetched wisdom, if people STILL question Allah's wisdom (not to learn about it but to challenge his wisdom), I can only pray for Allah to guide them.

Racism in Islam - Race is Not an Indicator

In the time of the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) the term "red-raced" referred to those who had white skin. The fairer "ruddy people" included the Levantines, Persians, Turks, North Caucasians, South Caucasians and Europeans.

This hadith informs us that race is Allah's creation and no indicator of Allah's favour, past or future. The sooner we free ourselves of this delusion the better off we will be insha'Allah.

Colour of SkinThe Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “He who has a white mother has no advantage which makes him better than the son of a black mother.” [Ibn al-Mubarak in Al-Birr]

Some disagreement occurred between Abu Dharr and Bilal (radi Allahu anhuma). As a result, Abu Dharr (radi Allahu anhu) said to Bilal (radi Allahu anhu), “You son of a black woman.”

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) was extremely upset by Abu Dharr’s comment and rebuked him saying, “That is too much, Abu Dharr. He who has a white mother has no advantage which makes him better than the son of a black mother.”

This rebuke had a profound effect on Abu Dharr (radi Allahu anhu), who then put his head on the ground, swearing that he would not raise it until Bilal had put his foot on it.

This hadith tells us that there is no place for racism in Islam. It also shows us the lofty character of the Sahabah: When they would make a mistake they would repent immediately on realizing it and not insist on their sin.
